Should not be so hard to clear the three after the makeover
Sweet location for taking a cover shot…. Erik….
We made the berm 3 meters longer the get a better transfer over to the next one, can wait to pop it
The jump is a table/step up/hip. Around 6 meters lip to sweet spot.
It has been kind of missing here for a long time…
We removed the big rocks and roots sticking out of this berm and made it steeper..

Moe`town news
When the snow melted we got plenty of water again..
This section in upper Moe`town have been wetish the last years but no biggy.
This year it turned into a small lake
We had to put down a big drainage pipe and move in a lot of fresh dirt. We raised the whole trail 50 cm + and while we were at it we added a new berm an a couple of jumpable rollers.
Can`t wait to ride it.
We will also fresh up the following two berms and the section crossing the ski piste.
Stay tuned!

Finally we can start building new stuff!
The melt water from the last reminds of snow was starting to cause trouble as soon as we had cleared all the trails from snow…
This will turn into a new double roller and we will give some TLC to the following two berms as well.
Top section in Moe`town got it bad and as normal we fix it and put in some more fun :-)
Sondre was also stoked to finally get to do something fun with the 13 ton shovel.
Sondre is the newbe in this year’s trailcrew but not new in Hafjell bike park at all. He has been riding here since 2005 and with his skills with the excavator we are super stoked to get him on the team!
First day of building was an awesome start and really promising for the rest of the summer!

Last day in "Swamp land"
Today we worked on the berm leading into the step up jump and also started building the kicker. It is turning out pretty good, hope we get some dry weather for a couple of weeks so we can ride it soon...
Can not wait to get out of this sh.. :-)
The kicker will be pulled back a meter or so.

Step down landing
Since we out of the mud section things start to happen a lot faster, Today James finished of the landing to the last step down before the road crossing in the new section of roller coaster.
This is how deep we have to go to get the water out. A BIG pipe is coming on Monday, it will keep the trail nice and dry when in place

Old School news
The mud pit in before the steep section in Old School was more than “bottom bracket deep” and it was about time to do something about it.
It was not possible to dig a ditch so we ended up building a bridge over it. First we had to empty it as good as possible, and then we could start building the bridge.
We also removed a couple of “flow killers” witch did not ad anything to the trail except killing the all-important flow.

The landing
We started working our way down what will be the landing for the last step-down in the new section of Roller Coaster. It will lead you straight into a berm -witch turns into a kicker at the end, sending you "up and away" to the landing of the following step-up jump. I really hope we don`t need to go back and fix something in this section anytime soon…

New step down
This step down will be the last step down in the mid-section of Roller Coaster.
About 2,5 meters high and 8 meters to the sweet spot
Needs a lot of dirt to build a trail with this size ehhh, -everything…
Everything is just bigger :-)
This creek is now going through the kicker in a big tube. Unbelievable how much water there is coming through this area.
Big ditches and enough pipes takes care of that..

Roller Coaster update
The red dot is where the Roller Coaster Air Downhill has been starting until now.
One step down, one step up and a table left to build before we connected the two sections. We now have 15 meters left before we are past the swamp in the Mid-section of Roller Coaster.
It is massive. This is the landing of the Hip/high speed corner, we are working on right now. The landing will go straight into a step down. Both the hip/corner and the step down have an 8 meter gap but will be pretty mellow to ride. The kickers are pretty slack on both of them.
This is the view looking down the landing of the step down.

Progress in Roller Coaster
The awesome weather is helping us a lot making better progress in the mid-section of Roller Coaster.
We are also past the wet area that has been causing so much trouble. This is a high speed corner/ “hip jump into a step down” combo.
This is the massive kicker
No, it is not a road. This is the tranny...

World cup jumps
Finally, a week late we got the excavator so we could start building up the jumps at the start of the world cup trail (European champs trail, last year).
The UCI rep asked how we could top of last year’s event…
There is only one answer to that of course, -GO BIGGER!
So that is exactly what we are doing.
This is the last of the 4 jumps just after the start, we are pulling the lip back around 3 meters and putting it more to the side so we can leave it over the winter. That also make it more into to a hip jump…
Also the first jump will be bigger. We are moving the start house about 10 meters to north witch give us a longer run in to the jump = more speed :-)
Fast-girl Kari Anne had a look and the comment was "F... its big!"
Up and away!!! (Doing my "Usain Bolt"...)
Tomorrow it will be adjusted and get the final touch

Ekspressen smoothening :-)
The short but heavy rain shower on Saturday washed out the landing of the step down in Ekspressen and while we were at it we removed a lot of rocks down to the road crossing. The trail crew got some much appreciated help.
Girlpower rocks !
The ditch was 40 cm at the deepest spot and it took some elbow grease to fill it
When it was done it turned out really good and we also removed some rocks in the landing on the right hand side.
These girls not only ride hard, they work hard as well :-)
